Bravo Has Powerful Sunday Night Ratings! Will It Save Shahs?

As I mentioned in my last Shahs of Sunset post, Bravo is trying to shake up a poorly performing  season for the Shahs by giving it a one time shot at the coveted timeslot following RHOA on Sunday nights.  Did it work? Technically yes.  Andy Cohen smartly did not give up having RHOA ‘s second showing as the lead in to his WWHL show either and his ratings were nearly identical to the Shahs. For Andy’s timeslot the numbers were HUGE but for Shahs the were merely decent.

Check below for the ratings breakdown as well as a teaser for tonight’s shit show Shahs of Sunset and WWHL.

From Bravo’s PR:
NEW YORK – December 10, 2013 – Bravo Media earned a record-breaking night this past Sunday, landing the network the #1 spot in P18-49 among cable competition, according to Nielsen.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which featured heated drama among the Burruss family, delivered over 3.7 million total viewers and over 2.1 million P18-49, making it the highest-rated episode of the season to date among all key demos.

“Watch What Happens Live,” which featured guests Kandi Burruss and Fantasia Barrino, also delivered its highest-rated episode of the season to-date with 1.9 million total viewers and 1.1 million P18-49, up 21 percent and 41 percent respectively from the prior week’s episode (12/1/13).

Additionally, Sunday night’s bonus episode of “Shahs of Sunset” at 9 p.m. delivered its second consecutive season-to date-high among all key demos with nearly 2 million total viewers.

Rounding out the night, “Fashion Queens” scored a series-to-date high among P18-49 (766,000) and total viewers (1.4 million), up 22 percent from the prior week’s episode.

Tune in tonight at 10pm ET/PT for a new episode of “Shahs of Sunset.” Mike and Jessica attend conversion class and the reality of a life together starts to settle in with Mike. GG and Leila argue about MJ hanging around and GG expresses her anger that MJ can’t stay away from her family. Lilly hosts an over-the-top dog birthday party and GG brings her new friend, Sasha. Reza enters therapy to deal with his recent outbursts and comes to some surprising conclusions. GG and MJ’s simmering tension boils over when they run into each other out at a bar in Hollywood and things go from drunk to worse.

Immediately after at 11pm ET/PT, “Watch What Happens Live” welcomes Laura Carmichael, Rob James Collier, Allen Leech and Lesley Nicol of “Downton Abbey.” “Watch What Happens Live” is the only live, late-night, interactive talk show that features guests from the world of entertainment, politics, and pop culture. Hosted by Andy Cohen, the series includes lively debates on everything from fashion, the latest on everyone’s favorite Bravolebrities, and what celebrity is making headlines that week.

Why can’t they just let it die? I just don’t get it! Surprised to hear that Downton Abbey crew are doing the show….not a snob, but come on…..

    • OPRAH did it. After that, all Andy has to say was “do you want to perch your ass in the chair where Oprah sat?” Although we all know in reality it took that straight home and sniffs it every night.

Sorry bravo the station was on but I was not watching the shahs. I was waiting for WWHL and Fashion Queens and after NeNe lies about Phaedra well that did it. I so Loved Bravo, however Kenya, mama Joyce and now NeNe, all five of us seniors who only
Got together for the show are very disappointed.mike and his Family are a hit. And after them its a wrap!!!!

Did anyone notice how filthy the bottom of Reza’s feet were at breakfast with Adam? I just assume if you’re as fabulous as he is with all his Dior and Gucci glory his floors/feet would be clean. DIRTY FOOT!!!

  4. Hmmm, if you look at the data on tvbythenumbers, it looks like Bravo is tweaking their ratings in the 18-49 range.

Also, Bravo neglected to mention that aside from Sundays, WWHL has only made it to the top 100 one other time in the last week-and-a-half and it was around 89th place at that.
