Michael Aussiello of TV Line is reporting that the roles of Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander have been cast for the Lifetime movie about the case. Can I just say that Lifetime is really making some strides with their original movies? Okay, maybe not with Dick and Liz, but I have a long history of Lifetime movie marathons with a pint of gelato and a box of Kleenex back in the younger years when breakups were traumatic and “the man hater channel” was a good source of solace. It seems to me like Lifetime has grown up with me and they have a grown-up established professional budget now for their original productions.
According to Aussiello, “Lost vet Tania Raymonde is nearing a deal to play accused murderer Jodi Arias in Lifetime’s original movie centered on the sensational (and ongoing) trial, TVLine has learned. Additionally, Mob Doctor‘s Jesse Lee Soffer has been cast as Travis Alexander, the ex Arias stands accused of killing. The Lifetime project, titled Dirty Little Secret: The Jodi Arias Story, is being exec produced by Joshua D. Maurer, Alixandre Witlin and Judith Verno, the team behind Lifetime’s Drew Peterson pic.”
UPDATE: Tony Plana has been cast to play Juan Martinez. He was the father of Ugly Betty! He looks so much different in his headshots than he did on that show. I thinks he is a good choice. Do you?
Tell me your dream cast for the movie!
