I feel like this blog is turning into a court-related blog! It’s not, I promise! There just happens to be three cases that I cover here going on at once! I promise to get back to the housewives and Honey Boo Boo and all of that important stuff soon! Meanwhile, thanks so much to everyone who kept me updated on yesterday’s proceeding while I was involved in some real live court drama. It seems I only missed a day of Nurmi droning on and on again and Jodi throwing out some new lies. My commenters tell me that she claimed the gun had a holster and that Travis talked about marrying her, or proposed or something at one point. Whatever Jodi.
Today is going to be interesting. The jury gets to ask Jodi questions and they have over 100. This morning the defense will spend an hour with the questions, the prosecutor will spend an hour with questions, then they will all go to lunch. I believe at 2 pm EST the judge will hear objections to the questions and the trial itself will resume at 3 pm EST. This should be interesting.

Can anyone tell me about the photo that shows a bloodied travis and jodi’s foot?… Is jodis foot in our left foreground, or is that it in our center/right background? im assuming the latter, so is there any explanation for that big mass taking up half the photo?
Anyone else catch Dr. drew last night. First that I had seen that video. Makes since that she might have been able to hold a gun up to his head which would make him freeze in fear. The. She’s be able to stab him withou much of a fight. It’s a creepy video though. Almost a foretelling of his future ending. :/
hey Tamara – I did watch some of Dr. Drew but I saw the video taken by Travis’s friends when he was talking and she was laying with her head in his lap, supposedly sleeping – comments made were she was not interested in his conversation with friends – if it didn’t include her she didn’t care. but haven’t they sorta established (prosecutor anyway) that she stabbed him first – slashed his throat – then shot him at end – she’s lying about pointing gun at him and shooting when he (according to her) was chasing her down hall -
The Jurors are submitting more questions !!! This trial will never end.
I am going to Phoenix next week, so maybe ill try to get a seat in the courtroom, except i hear there are very few to be had.

BTW I think she slashed his throat in the bedroom where the carpet and tile meet in the bathroom entry, where there is a huge amount of blood discharged on the carpet. There really is not that much blood at the sink to believe that she got to his throat at that time. I’m a nurse, so maybe that’s why I don’t think the amount of blood at the sink is enough to believe his throat was cut there. I wish there was a way to determine the order of the wounds to explain how things got started, what was cut first. I hope they spend more time on the murder scene in final arguments.
I think it’s all about Cancun. I think she took her time to plan the whole fake road trip — dying her hair, the grandpa’s gun, “non-flashy” rental car w/ 1 hard to read licence plate, & enough gas to get through Arizona undetected — in one last ditch effort to convince Travis to take her to Cancun…or else. I think she’d been trying to go with him for some time, & then in late May something happened & he’d finally had it with her & remember he texted her saying he never wanted to see her again. That was a big ol can of rejection she just couldn’t take. I bet she thought of all the traveling they’d done in the past, but that they’d never been to a hotspot like Cancun, & now he had his new svelt bod, she would not be denied, especially not overthrown for another. It was all about the sex for her.
I think she asked/confronted him with her issue one last time, while taking pics of him in the shower, of really wanting to go with him & he said something like forget it, I told you we’re done, I don’t want to be with you around my friends anymore ever again (something really final sounding like that) and that’s when she snapped BIG TIME. I think he was already out of the shower, standing at the sink, when this argument went down, & that’s when she stabbed him in the back,first, then they struggled, he made it to the doorway, where all the blood is, then she slit his throat, & stabbed him in the chest again & again in overkill rage, thinking if I can’t have you no one will, then dragged him to shower, then still enraged shot him, causing bullet casing to land in blood. I don’t think there was a green & gold rope at all, i think she got the knife from kitchen ahead of time & hid it with the gun somewhere. I think that’s the only explanation for how come she was SO mad to overkill him & how it could happen so fast and where it happened.
hey – believe you are right on this and as a nurse, you would know about wounds and blood – some stabbing in shower (chest?) then he stumbled to sink – more stabbing in his back? and you’re right about the deep defensive wounds on his hands – trying to grab knife from her – throat slashing must have happened where large mass of blood found & at that point he was probably nearly dead I’d think w/ that much blood loss? what is so mind boggling is why she dragged him back into shower to wash him off….and shoot him in head?
Susan, I agree. Why haven’t they asked more questions about the murder itself? Are they sort of challenging things about their relationship, abuse stuff, Mormonism, sex, because they don’t believe her stories? It sort of seems that way to me. I hope they are not looking for reasons to believe her abuse/foggy thinking issues to accommodate the “battered woman’s syndrome” so they don’t have to consider the death penalty. Maybe the questions about the actual murder will come in tomorrow. I think the jury gets that she is a major liar. It will come down to whether or not to push it to the death penalty.
This could be totally irrelevant but…. Arias was asked a jury question about the derogatory journal entries that were torn out by her and/or Travis. Does anybody remember where these were found? If travis tore them out or had her remove them, he have wanted them destroyed? Why and where did she save them? It’s has never made sense to me..
all i know is that she said Travis made her tear some pages out–i don’t believe her on that–and she apparently did tear some out herself, it wasn’t clear when she tore them out, but they must’ve been found in her room or maybe she stuck the torn pages back into her journal herself later. i honestly don’t remember what the torn pages said, i wish i could answer better than that
Thanks,, Maddox.. I don’t know why I would even begin to think there would be a logical answer.. The woman is warped. She had a quick fire answer for everything. I wish the jury knew she had access to the questions all morning and plenty of time to prep.
I also think that on days they know she would be answering questions on redirect or from the jury, she’s been wearing a short sleeved blouse. It makes her look so ‘frail’ relative to Travis. I don’t know if that’s intentional but I find myself questioning everything that she and her team does. There are days she seems like a clone to her female lawyer. From her style of dress to her hair style to her glasses. The whole thing is just odd and creepy.
Did you heater the question about her prescription for her glasses? Juror wanted to know what it was. She neVer wore glasses before 2010 and juror wanted to know how she could she license plat on ground in front of car if she was Near sighted. Boom…not missing a beat she rattled it off the script she got in 2010. I e worn glasses for years and couldn’t tell you mine. I hope someone on the jurY is like me when it comes to that..and know she’s prepared.

It was interesting how she answered the question about the prescription glasses: “I believe this one is…” Instead of “This one is…”
She also slipped when one question asked if she felt anger when she shot him, she started to say: “I did not feel fear…” Then she corrected herself. This is on the record and I hope that Martinez replays that one back.

So I was a little behind watching today but because I was recording and they were so behind I’m almost fully caught up. I liked the eye glasses question. Nobody is buying her innocent girl look Also I like the underwear question as well. On a side note he can’t apologize after the June 4 “incident” because she killed him before he could. And the jury obviously believes doesn’t believe her and her story.

There’s an HW blog site blowing its number-one kissass about the Travis shower photo because number-one kissass said he looks frightened. Sorry, buckette, but he looks like he was trying to “pose” in that photo, nothing fearful at all in his face. It’s simply a serious sexy look.
I saw that too and thought, huh?! And, you’re right about #1. I ventured there one or two times and the a** kissing that goes on just about made me hurl. WTF?
So over this whole story, she is one sick woman and her obsession with Mormon’s is borderline nuts.
I believe the technical difficulties are going to be as frustrating to the jury, if not more so , as to those of us in the audience. This does not bode well for Jodi, because an irritated jury is less likely to be sympathetic to her.
The Casey Anthony jury took out their irritation on the DA.
I can’t blog the questions, but some of the questions were: if you called 911 on your old boyfriend, why didn’t you call on travis; why didn’t you take any pics of the spider man underwear, did you take any pics of your bruises, did anyone see the bruises, were there a lock on the door, why did you say u want your children then to play with travis’ kids, if he indeed were a pedo? etc. i mean these are some good questions. …some questions regarding sex…..but overall good!
wow – really good questions from jurors – in same tone as Martinez questions during cross – so spidy underwear is important (apparently for Jodi to give “proof” of his pedo interest?)
yeah Susan- jodi said (read; LIED) that Travis sent her some little boys underwear (the ‘spideys’) and her claim is the reason he sent her those and wanted her to wear them was so he could pretend/fantasize that he was doing it with a little boy. her other UNBELIEVABLE suggestion that was given to support Travis’ alleged pedophilia, was her walking in on Travis pleasuring himself to images of little boys. she says the little boy in the picture she claims to have seen, was 5 or 6. these outrageous suggestions are (i think) why the jury has questions about the spiderman underwear– especially because Travis clearly said on the tape, that he did NOT like spiderman! i think the jury may’ve caught wise to her despicable lies. at least i hope they have!
no pictures of any spidey underpants at all– no pics of jodi in them, none ever found in her possession or at her home– no evidence that these spidey underpants ever existed (outside any boys dept. at sears) jodi testified that Travis sent them to her on Valentines day, and that’s ALL there is as!! her word! and i refuse to consider anything jodi says as evidence– she’s full of shite, backwards and forwards!
That was a great question regarding the underwear. It would have been even better had she not known about the question ahead of time. Many of those were great questions and would have been better had she not been expecting them. I hope the person(s) who asked questions about her memory are on the jury.
i’m glad the jury asked about the spidey underwear! i remember Travis saying on the tape that he did NOT like Spiderman too!! this technical difficulty shite is just gonna serve jodi more time to get her answers together. i wonder if the judge will pick up where she left off, and follow up to the last question asked, ‘who initiated contact after break-ups w/ bobby, matt, darryl and travis! jodi just answered re bobby.

And the spidey question is very relevant. It means they don’t believe he sent her the underwear which she tries to use as proof of his “pedophilia” which means they don’t believe that either.
I only heard about 75% of the questions but a lot of them were pretty decent. However, there’s clearly someone on the jury who can’t reconcile her “wanton” lifestyle with Mormonism. Way too many Mormon questions.
The only question I heard which may have been somewhat sympathetic to her was the question about if the guy perhaps stopped to pick up the camera after he got out of the shower (thereby giving her more time to get in the closet and do her ninja moves to get the gun without disturbing anything).
That said, I haven’t watched any of this trial except for parts of her testimony in the last couple of days.

Is this something special that was allowed for this trial? The jury asking the witness questions? Normally, if the jury has questions, they have to go back to the official court reporters record. Very interesting!
There are only 3 states that allow jurors to ask questions and Arizona is one of them.
To me, sounds like the jurors have grave doubts about her. Not good for Jodi

Susan- I totally agree! I’ve had many days of spitting my drink out because of Maddox’s comments. I love reading this blog because many of the regular commenters are hysterical. Tamra sets the jokes up and you folks knock them over the goalpost!
so judge nitwit is asking Jodi the juror’s questions – whenever they can get to that point – yes? wonder is judge will keep her on track with her answers, i.e. not letting Jodi ramble on about other pointless stuff/lies but more like – please answer question directly to the point?
Well, Susan now we know she didn’t keep her on track. However, that’s not such a bad thing b/c I just heard that the jury are submitting more questions. I’m guessing those questions, are based on her expanded answers. For example, her expanded answer regarding the spiderman underwear was even though Travis didn’t like spiderman, she’s guessing he chose spiderman b/c of this little boy he knew. i wouldn’t be surprised if someone asked her who the boy was. she also stated she told a psychologist about him liking children, i’m sure someone is going to ask her when she told this person and the name of that person. It’s like I previously stated, the longer she is up there, the more lies she tells.
I wish they would do this with all court cases, where the jury is allowed to ask questions.
i think she shrink to which she is referring is one of the “experts” she met with sometime during her incarceration. probably a defense expert. it may even be the woman (dr lovellette or something) that jodi told she saw Travis on his computer looking at child porn (i hate that i have to even type such a thing)– and then on cross, she denied she told that dr that the images were on the computer. i think she didn’t mention the dr’s name because it might discredit the dr (who will probably be called as a defense witness) because jodi denied telling her about the computer thing. to quote jodi “if that makes sense”– i’m not sure i’m being cogent. i gave blood today. true story.

Regardless, that was my question as well. Since she was so suicidal, why didn’t she kill herself? She had a gun, everyone she knew had a gun, why is she still here if she was so suicidal? If she was afraid of the pain, has she not ever heard of jumping in front of a bus, or stopping on some railroad tracks or something? I would have also asked in that same question if she thinks she deserves to die for what she did to him.
Suicide my ass. She doesn’t want to die now and she didn’t want to then….it’s a ploy for pity.
that sounds better than most theories. but i just would add one different thing, i think she took full advantage of his seated position in the shower and plunged the knife into his heart first, then he wobbled to the sink, putting his hands on the sink counter to try to steady himself (and bleeding profusely) then she started stabbing him in the back, he tried to get away but the blood loss slowed him greatly, then when he finally collapsed by the entry way to the bedroom (where the largest masses of blood were found, i think) she then slit his throat, dragged him back into the bathroom and shot him in the head. just my take– but yours sounds more thought out. you’re probably not wrong.
i totally agree Patricia– it would be so cool if the jury does get to ask that question ‘do you think you deserve to die for what she did’ — what the hell would come out of her mouth? i can’t imagine how she’d spin it into self-pity, but she’d find a way.
i think she got him to pose in that very prone, vulnerable position, under the guise of taking pictures- i think after the unexpected plunge of the knife to his heart (while he was seated on the the slippery shower-stall floor), he did try to grab the knife then, and that’s when he got the defensive wounds/slashes to his hand. then the wounds to his hands, and his bleeding from the chest could account for all the blood at and around the sink area. i’m not sure, we have to remember that the throat injury was by far the deepest, as it almost decapitated him! of course, just like you, i’m only trying to make some sense of this. i can only speculate, and i may be way off base… i hope the jury questions tomorrow WILL include more query about the murder! you’re so right. this was BRUTAL and talking about this is gross! but we are only human, and human beings are curious.
