Brandi Glanville went on Howard Stern yesterday and talked about RHOBH and lots of other stuff. Brandi actually spilled salaries saying that she made $18k for her season as a “friend of the housewife.” She is paid $136,000 for this season and the other women make $250,000. This is very interesting because I have been told that RHOBH makes the most money. This was before Nene got a raise ( that still isn’t as much as rumors lead you to believe). Also RHOBH is the only franchise that gets paid by the season and not by the episode. I have no idea why that is.
Brandi says she just discovered twitter about the time that Eddie and Leann got together and at first she really didn’t get how public it was. She talked about Eddie cheating throughout the marriage. Brandi says that she went to therapy with Eddie and Leann because Eddie was interrogating her oldest son about what happened in her home.
Brandi’s Daddy was a pot dealer. Brandi would bring girls home for Eddie and she would make out with them but Eddie wasn’t allowed to actually have sex with them. Brandi says she is going to stop trying to be with the hottest guy in the room. I have been picking up the house while listening so I am not recapping the whole thing. Brandi did discuss her “hairstyle” which is not bald but a landing strip much to Howard’s surprise.
Leann goes to the kids’ school and sings for their class. Mason says that Leann likes Jake better than him. She gave all the kids in their classes presents for Christmas. She buys her kids mini-iPads and takes them on private jets. Brandi joked that the kids would ask if they are going to fly private when they go to the airport and she’s like know we are going on fucking SouthWest. lol. Howard asks if she thinks she is better looking than Leann and she said yes.
Back to money talk. Brandi says contracts should come out soon because filming begins in April. Gerard Butler called her after she talked about having sex with him on WWHL and he was pissed off and said he would never have slept with her if he had known she was going to be on a reality show. She says he hates her now. Brandi apparently has Sex Skypes with boyfriends in the past before she was on the show.
Howard says he looked her up on that site which shall remain nameless that claims to know how much celebrities are worth. It said she is worth 5 million. Brandi laughs and says she doesn’t even have a million. I KEEP TELLING YOU PEOPLE THAT SITE IS CRAP! Brandi confirms that Adrienne brought legal action against Bravo to prevent them from airing “the lie.” Brandi said if she was happily married and had money she would never do reality TV. Brandi admits to doing Botox. Brandi says she did not hook up with Harry Morton. She is dating one of his friends though. Brandi says she has made out with an A list female celeb.

I am really enjoying her book, she says she can be an above the waist lesbian in her book, that she would have friends over and they would make out Eddie would watch, the girl would leave and they would have hot sex. Some times it would be other married friends and the guys would watch and then each couple would go their own way. If everyone is a willing participant then who am I to judge. I recently found out a friend of mine and her husband are swingers. Not my cup of tea, but whatever.
Reading her book you can tell he was totally gaslighting her. Making her second guess herself, making her think she was crazy. Them you read a grown ass man is having all of his mail sent to his mothers house, her name was not on a thing they owned, she never saw a credit card statement, phone statement, he has 2 cells phones. All the signs were there, but he had he so convinced she was crazy and making it all up. That he was not cheating. Even when he was caught read handed with Leann, he denied.

I had someone do that to me in the past. Totally try to make me look and feel crazy. I even told them that trying to do so was such stereo typical bs. I just laughed at them. Yup, they were cheating. I knew I wasn’t crazy lol Well I am but not like that
I learned about it while volunteering at a Womens Resource Center across from where I lived. I also learned that the most common form of abuse of women is financial abuse. Keep her feeling like she can’t leave because the man controls all the money. Everything is in his name, he controls all the bills, sound like anyone we might know?
When Howard asked if Brandi thought Leann was bringing home women to share with Eddie, she said she assumed so. I really can’t imagine Leann being okay with that. I’m sure she would do anything to keep Eddie, but she comes off as incredibly insecure and I don’t think she’d be okay with another woman being involved…For the record, I would never be okay with that either!
I’ve been sick of Brandi on RHOBH this season, but listening to her on Howard made me like her again. I don’t like seeing her whine and fight with the other women on the show, but hearing her sit and talk about her own life in a very open and honest way was interesting.
I agree to a fault. I imagine leann being coerced into bringing home a woman by Eddie “come on these women have nothing on you” “you’ll look sooo hot with another woman” “I won’t watch porn anymore I promise” then after it happens she ends up quietly crying herself to sleep, but not too quiet so Eddie can hear the sniffles. Although he pegs me as a roll over and sleep or a sandwich and tv guy after sex
I for one wouldn’t agree to a threesome. I don’t judge those who do but if we’re serious I rather we keep our privates private.

My theory about their constant vacationing is that she’s trying to keep him away from his regular ‘side-pieces’ in LA. So she takes him to islands hoping she can breathe easy for a week without worrying about him cheating. He probably tells her he’s going to the gift shop and then fucks a maid.

Very interesting article Tamara. Though Brandi should learn to filter herself. Eventually she is going to say the wrong thing and Bravo will replace her. I am sure Bravo does not appreciate her disclosing contract info. Though I think next season Brandi will receive as much as the others in salary. But with Adrienne gone she is going to need to find a new foe to start trouble with in order to stay relevant.

Right. I hope I don’t get jumped on for saying this, but I think it’s the color of their skin and their location. BH is supposed to be about the really rich. Although ATL and NJ are the highest rated, no one’s on there is truly rich, with the exception of Kandi, and I think Phaedra. NJ girls might be white in appearance, but they have Italian lineage, and I think because of that, and the fact that BH is supposed to trump NJ based on location alone, that’s why they get paid more.
I also read once that BH and NY get paid the most when it comes to club appearances, as well.
sigh.. Y’all just love to go there. Salaries in general in the south are a lot lower than elsewhere because cost of living is very cheap here. That said, I about fell over when I went grocery shopping in the OC. And the same doesn’t hold true for them. I think it is the fact that the RHOBH ladies (and some of the RHONY women) were actually wealthy and it had to be made worth their while. Those Jersey girls and Atlanta ladies and even the RHOC people are not in the same financial league as RHOBH (for the most part).

There is no way the BH cast overall is getting paid more than either Atlanta or New Jersey. Their clout and recognition is based on ratings and frankly, BH ratings aren’t as high as Atlanta nor New Jersey, nor have they ever been. Ratings=Money/Salary. Joan, people tend to believe that all marriages are “traditional” or very similar to their own. There are all kinds of marriages out there. Particularly when one spouse is bisexual (Brandi doesn’t claim to be bi… but she is definately bi curious at the least). She said she brought up the idea. This is not some concept that is limited just to Brandi. Lots of couples swing, Lots of couples have open marriages to varying degrees. It’s not as unusual as you might think.

Why is it wrong if both parties agree to it?
Joan, I know of women married 30+ years and are very secure with themselves and their spouses and they do a lot more than kiss women. If they and their partners are honest with each and maintain respect, I don’t see why it would be in someone else’s place to tell them on how to be a “proper couple”. From what I’ve seen it’s harder for younger couples to adapt to this type of relationship. In Brandi’s case, Eddie was never honest with her and that’s trouble. If you think the way you think, you would clutch your pearls if you were to find out what your neighbor, boss, or pastor and their spouses do behind closed doors.
It’s not as uncommon as you’d think (hope?), especially in that environment. Brandi’s just open about it. She was keeping it spicy while trying to contain the situation (no actual sexual contact). Hmph, doesn’t always work out that way though :/
For the record, Lisa, Kyle, Adrienne and Taylor make $250K. Yolanda makes what she makes. Also Yo and Brandi will not make $250K next year either. There are some more steps in there. The next is around $175K. I still don’t know why they contract is per season and not per episode. Kim Z will lose money by dropping out of RHOA but Taylor and You will not lose money for not being on every episode.
Yeah, I think that’s why. A scripted show has a finite number of episodes. With these shows, don’t they just shoot X hours of footage and then piece together storylines/episodes in the cutting room? I can see a scenario where one castmember shoots just as many hours (i.e. works) as another castmember, but appears in a different number of episodes due to editing. Perhaps the BH wives are paid this way because they had savvier agents/lawers with more showbiz experience.
The reason pay is different is because each franchise is produced by different companies. Company A may compensate in one fashion while company B does it in another. Bravo has stipulations for each franchise , but outside of that, the production company can do as they please.

Bravo negotiates directly with the cast members, The cast works for Bravo not the production company. Both the cast and the production company are hired by and paid by Bravo. The RH idea originated at Bravo not the production company. The situation you described is true for scripted television but is not the case at Bravo and othe cable channels that initiate the concept and then hire production for filming etc. The production company has no financial investment in the show and is merely employed by Bravo for production work.

I read one of your older posts today about the salary information of the women from the different franchises. With that said, you said the RHOBH were being paid in a lump sum but didn’t know why. That post was a while back? Do you have any idea now? Oh, and I was reading something the other day about the RHOBH filming obligations, but can’t find the link to the post in my history. Is that like them filming all the scenes they’re supposed to film?
