The was ecstatic on twitter recently for landing a co-host spot on The View today. Nene wore a deep plum long sleeve dress with two sleeves! and he hair was …that different way she does it when she is all “Hollywood.”  She looked good, but a bit matronly. I must compliment her on her beautiful diamond studs. So much better than the huge earrings she normally wears and perfect for the outfit, or any outfit really.

As soon as they sit down, Whoopi asks her why she is going to remarry Gregg.  Gregg is in the audience grinning from ear to ear as Nene responds, “Because I love him!”  Joy asks why they got divorced in the first place and Nene basically says that Gregg had problems handling her success. Gregg is miked in the audience and Sherri asks Gregg how they will deal with their problems differently this time and about how being filmed during those times makes things worse. Gregg says they are doing “the remix” and from now on they will focus on where they want to be rather than where they are. Sherri says. “Oh so that is like being present.”  Um, not, Sherri. It’s not. Joy says to Gregg that Nene makes it sound like you were jealous of her success and then asks the leading question. “You weren’t were you?”  Gregg says he wasn’t jealous of her success, he prayed for her success but when she got it and he was no longer the primary provider it was strange for him and he felt “out of pocket.”

Whoopi tries to talk Nene out of an over the top fairy tale wedding. She tells Whoopi that everything else in their life is very public and this should be a private thing. Nene has said twice that she might just take that advice.  Do we believe her?

Discussion turns to Valentine’s Day. Nene says that she and Gregg will go out to dinner tonight and that she is buying Brentt his first bottle of cologne he will be 14 next week.

The topic is Kimye and their airport debacle at JFK yesterday. If you don’t know, they were flying back from Brazil through NYC  to connect to a flight to LA.  Someone from the airline took them through an unsecure area to bypass the TSA (WHICH YOU CAN’T DO EVER INTERNATIONALLY! Customs anyone?). So they had to be pulled off the plane to go through customs and the plane was delayed an hour in the process. Nene immediately says, “Oh that has happened to me, you know, when you are a celebrity, sometimes they just let you bypass.”  sigh.

Whoopi brings up the Dorner Manifesto and points out that Nene was in it. Nene says I know and then she quoted that the said never settle personally or professionally. She says she cried. Joy asks why because he killed a lot of people and Nene sort of switches tunes over to she was very scared. They asked her if she was relieved when he was killed and she said no, she didn’t. She said that she and Gregg had already experienced some other stuff with “fans” and that was very scary so they “knew they needed to do some other things so they did.” I assume she is trying to say she has hired security. Perhaps on loan from Kenya, like the furniture.

Next up, Donald Trump is apparently taking shots at Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance. So they ask Nene if the Donald just does this for attention. Nene says, ” I think Donald do (sic) some of this stuff strategically.” Oh, Nene.  This will not get you a talk show.

Whoopi announce that the city with the most infidelity is Washington, DC. Nene was surprised because she thought it would be Atlanta because of all of the professional teams we have here. She included hockey in the list.

Guests today were Helen Hunt and Melissa Rauch. Nene was on stage for both of them and did well.  Overall, it was a very good showing for Nene and she should be proud of herself. And Lord knows she is.
