I know you guys don’t really read or comment on Adrienne Maloof stories that much, but I need you to make an exception for this one, because things just aren’t adding up for me here. After all the drama, and there was a lot of it, People magazine is reporting that Paul and Adrienne have apparently sat down like calm rational adults and reached a divorce agreement. It wasn’t that long ago that Chef Bernie was posting pictures of Adrienne he says showed her “abuse.” I don’t think I blogged that because to me the pictures looked like a skin rash, but I don’t like to disbelieve any claims of abuse.
There were actual court records according to TMZ where Adrienne alleged abuse by Paul. The pair has been in and out of court several times over custody. Both parties appear to be leaking information to gossip sites. Allegedly. It’s been a battle royale. So now they are just two happy parents co-parenting? I’m not buying this statement:
“We’re happy to announce we have reached agreement on a settlement that we are both very pleased with. Divorce is a painful process under any circumstance and certainly more painful under the constant glare of the media spotlight. There has been so much untrue negative innuendo and destructive rumors beyond our control the past few months. We want the best for each other and we’re confident we can help each other make a continuing positive impact with our children. We’re happy to be moving forward with our lives in a positive way, not only individually but as co-parents. [Our goal is ]for our children to have stable and nurturing relationships with both of us so we can all find as much happiness as possible. We appreciate the good wishes we continue to receive from our supporters around the world.” [Source: People Magazine]
Um, this seems like a made up statement to me. Wouldn’t a professional have written the statement? Am I the only one that thinks this is bogus? I don’t think this statement came from Adrienne and Paul at all. Is it just me?
