A few weeks ago, the people at the Wendy Williams Show called me up to ask to use a couple of my Château Sheree pictures on the show. They used the one above (and another one) during Hot Topics. That picture was taken at the end of August. At that time I joked that the château may be ready by Christmas. Since it is now November I thought an update was in order. Click through to see the progress.
I’ve checked in with my source in Sheree’s hood a few time in the last couple of months for updates and every time I get the same response. Nothing is happening. Construction came to a standstill. As you can see things are just like they were before. Except today, my source went out in the rain to get a new picture because, out of the blue, a truck delivered some insulation! This is the first sign of life in a couple of months. It appears it was just a delivery as the guys left the insulation and took off. Still, it’s a ray of hope that the building of Chateau Sheree will continue after all. Maybe. I’ll keep you updated.
UPDATE: I was just informed that Sheree doesn’t own Chateau Sheree (again). The house has changed hands three times in three years. The house was originally purchased by Sheree’s mother, Thelma Ferguson in December of 2010 for $319,000. That house was demolished so a proper château could be built. Then in December of 2010 Mama Thelma sells the house to Sheree for $1. But then, this past June 2012 Sheree sold the house to her daughter, Tierra for $1. So Sheree owned the house for all of six months.
I thought that Sheree’s debt was cleared up when she put the house into her name but she was dragged into court again in August of 2012 because she still has divorce lawyers trying to get paid. The divorce took dragged out for years because Sheree appealed (and lost) all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court. She had several lawyers and they are all still coming after her. So that’s probably why she moved her one asset out of her name after only six months. Sheree doesn’t understand that you have to pay your bills or they will seize your house just like they did that fancy car she bought with the money she was supposed to pay attorneys with.

Early this morning, around 2:00 I believe, the page looked like it was almost in HTML format, and there was some weird message on the homepage, but you could basically navigate around it if you knew what you were doing.
I do enjoy these updates, but since Miss Shereé is no longer a Housewife it does just seem she is now another private citizen with financial issues…(not that I am judging anyone who still finds Lady Boo-Been-Checked newsworthy) I just feel my interest in Shereé has waned in equal measure to her appearances in any public forum.
Nothing will ever change the fact that the house is too big for the lot. Looks like it could have been pretty, on a bigger lot.
I agree with you. It’s also too close to the street. Someonen did a vlog doing fake commentary in front of the house and it is on a busy street. I saw another pic of the house that included the small house next door. What a shame.

The looming question and also why so many people are fascinated with Chateau Sheree is…How can she afford to build and maintain a house like that? It’s baffling and fascinating! It defies all logic!
This post caused my views to go up 6x more than normal. Any Chateau Sheree update caused a flurry of views, but it’s weird. They don’t seem to come from anything other than google searches. It’s as if thousands of people google all day long for Chateau Sheree updates. MINDBOGGLING>

it would be a bigger shame if this sale somehow backfired on her daughter, and sheree ended up screwing her over. i do not put anything past ms. sheree. she has proven herself to be quite shady where financial matters are concerned.

Sheree has a fan base. I loved her on the RHOA. It was a shame when she was “retired.” I hope she makes it back to television at some point, hopefully when Kim gets a show of her own. Team Sheree.
I can’t wait to see the finished house. As she loves that belgian/ french countryside aesthetic I assume she will finish it in some form of stone. Stone ain’t cheap so I bet that will take awhile or her to get up.

I don’t give out information on exactly where people live l. I will say that she wanted to stay in the same public charter school district in Fulton where her kids were already going.
Betsy, I remember reading the name of the street somewhere. It may have been here by a poster that said she lived in the neighborhood and drove by when it was still, “dirt and grass.” (I was on the floor when Phaedra said that on the reunion show.)

I believe the box at the top says, “Search”…not “Scour.” I was trying to do the right thing and not put the article out in the open, which is why I didn’t put it in Contact but since you want to be childish…the article was written on November 29, 2011 and titled, “Chateau Sheree is More Like Empty Lot.” It has a pic of Sheree walking through the lot with the contractor. It took all of 2 seconds to find so there was no “scouring” going on. You put the name Thelma Ferguson and then an address. You then went on to detail all the sale transactions from April 2007 until Thelma purchased it in December 2010. You also put the name of the person that brought the house in 2007 and how much it was purchased for by HomeSales in, Inc. in 2010 which was $159,000 less than the owners originally paid for it. That was wrong of you to put somebody’s business out there on a blog.
As I recall our interaction went something like this. A reader asked me where Chateau Sheree was. I gave her a vague answer. You came flying in saying that you knew the address and thought it was around here somewhere. I asked you not to post the address. You searched for it anyway, and instead of sending me an email, you decided to keep jumping your happy ass up and down in comments over issues that didnt concern you in the least so that YOU could be sure the first reader had access to “somebody’s business after I clearly told you to keep information out of comments.
That said, my personal decision not to include address is my decision. You are aware of the internet and the public records that reside there. They are there available to the public. My decision not to draw a map to someones home isn’t going to keep anyone who is a true nutcase from finding the address. Besides, people like you are all to happy to help them.
