After watching Wendy Williams this morning, I’m trying to solider on and watch today’s episode of Anderson Cooper. He watched the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion last night. Really? I thought he was above all that. He read three tweets about the reunion and two of them were anti-Teresa. Anderson got so worked up watching he had to take an Ambien to fall asleep. Anderson says it is an awful show and everyone is so hateful and mean. He can hardly believe he has to watch two more episodes! Oh, Anderson. I’m watching this show because Ramona from RHONY is going to be on and I am dying to see how Anderson treats her. As it stands now Ramona pretty much hates everyone except Sonja this season. Let’s see what AC has to say about Ramona’s behavior.
AC plays a clip from the finale of RHONY tonight that shows Ramona and Aviva going at it after Ramona calls Aviva possessed. Anderson asked her how she dealt with the conflict and if she ever stopped to say “that hurt my feelings.” This is Anderson’s big thing now. Expressing your feelings rather than arguing. Anderson comes from a very milquetoast family where conflict didn’t exist. Perhaps that is why he flies around the world going into war zones. His mama didn’t yell at him enough. Ramona looked confused and then said when (Aviva) looks at you with that much anger in her eyes, it’s best to just diffuse the situation as best you can, try to call them down, apologize…etc. This seems like news to the sheltered, dainty, Anderson. Perhaps he should have written that down. Life advice from Ramona Singer. Anderson realized that he had let Ramona off far too easily so he said that he’d never seen Ramona without a glass of Pinot in her hand until now. He asked her if she had a drinking problem. I wish that Ramona had summoned up some crocodile tears and looked at Anderson with a sad, sad, face and said, “It hurts my feelers when you imply I am an alcoholic on national television, Andereson. Please be sweet to me. I don’t enjoy conflict.” Alas, instead Ramona gave her usual speech about how drinking all day is fine because her castmates drive her to drink. Ramona had a brief, inexplicable Turtle Time! moment and then they were done with her. The clip they ran was almost as long as the interview.

I’m in the minority here who doesn’t think or care that Ramona has an issue with alcohol I think she likes to get her drink on but then so do most/many society women. Which is funny because I rarely drink and if I do its usually a 3 beer or wine max. I think Ramona just likes to party. Because she also said that she hasn’t had any pinot in a couple weeks and that she tends to drink more during filming because the women drive her nuts…no different than Anderson saying he took an ambien which I actually have more trouble with, ambien is some heavy duty shit imo.
I missed WW who was on and what happened? I only saw a couple minutes with that *yawn* tony braxton’s sister and her husband but I had it muted.
Off topic question Tamara: what is known about housewives’ contracts? Would love to get my hands on one — present day version and not old OC from the beginning. I think that they have social media requirement conditions. They all seem to start tweeting at the same time on show days. Sometimes not about the show, which I think is a loophole. And when they make the rounds on shows like this, what is the benefit? do the shows pay them? Does bravo or the prod company require it? Or is it all just to promote that individual’s “brand”? Certainly, Teresa could not have wanted to get the stuffing whippedcout of her by the likes of Pooper and Wenchie Williams. Or is she THAT big of an attention whore? Anyway, maybe a topic for a future blog.
There are social media requirements. They tweet the entire season while it is airing. And on nights when the show is on. They also have to write a blog. Sometimes they let people out of that obligation. It doesn’t seem to be as strictly enforced as the twitter thing is. However, I think they benefit either financially or with Bravo Andy Brownie Points based on how many comments they get on their blog.
As for WW, Anderson Cooper, etc. They all live for that. Even your girl Tre. The tabloids and the individual interviews are all them. Sometimes Bravo send themin a group for promoting. Basically they have to do what they are told. Most of them would do WW everyday if they were asked.
Ramona owns what she says and does, she just doesn’t care if you like it or not. There is the difference.
Ramona would care if she had the wherewithal to realize anything she did was inappropriate…she never owns anything she does because she always makes lame justifications which is a trademark alcoholic move. Aviva’s crazy has overshadowed all of Ramona’s issues, unfortunately.
I think Ramona was better able to deal with Anderson than Teresa was I’m glad she held on now if we could only give Teresa some grown lady draws when she interviews we’ll be set
