So after my post the other day about Leann Rimes giving way to much attention to her negative twitter followers, a TamaraTattles reader shared with me an interaction she had with Jac Laurita. I told my twitter followers a I would share a Jac story and it appears I got them all excited about the story. It’s really nothing drastic, it’s just that on the heels of the Leann Rimes story you would think that the Bravo housewives would have learned not to engage negative tweeters. But that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Jac tweets about a lot of products, mostly ones that she gets paid to endorse, like some Acne product and of course her husband’s BLK water products. On Friday she combined the two. Apparently, she had a pimple and suggested spraying it with fulvic acid (a BLK water ingredient) and the Acne product she endorses. Ever the inquisitive one, TC inquired about Jac’s finances asking if it was really necessary for her to shill an acne product to make ends meet.

And so Jac decided to follow her long enough to DM her, to defend herself twice and then unfollow her. Click through for Jac’s response.
It seems that Jac has landed some million dollar a year job y’all! On her website she lists all the jobs she’s ever had chronologically but after RHONJ, there is no other employment on her resume. Her husband’s previous apparel company went bankrupt and has had two lawsuits naming both Chris and Jac for allegedly using money that should have gone to the business for their personal bills. I have no idea if those suits ever were resolved one of them was only filed last year.
But now, Jac has some mystery job pulling in a million a year and tons of other products she doesn’t mention on the show so as not to “cheapen the brand” because you know how the housewives hate to mention their endorsements on the show. She’s not worried about “cheapening” the Acne cream though. It’s all over her website just like BLK water which she is also not worried about “cheapening.” So it’s okay to cheapen her husband’s business and the acne product and the dozens of other things she hawks on twitter, just not her superduper secret products. Those products she shills on twitter are just things she likes to use, like, you know, zit cream. The market for zit cream in the housewives demographic is somewhere below toaster ovens.
So there you have it. Jac makes over a million dollars a year at her mystery job, and has lots of successful products she doesn’t tell anyone about. Take that, TC!
Thoughts? My thought is I need me one of them there secret jobs that pays me millions while I tweet all day long every day.
Did she really say she didn’t have him tested because of insurance? Living in a million dollar home and wearing illfitting designer clothes and shoes and she can’t pay for her baby to be tested??? Anyone buy that ?
I’ve never seen her say that. I do recall her saying that the insurance companies were assholes to deal with and she fought for the appropriate testing. My commenters here say all sorts of things.
Funny you mentioned manchauusens by proxy because I’ve been thinking the same thing. The Autistic spectrum is so wide these days and covers everything from completely non verbal /communicative to aspburgers to mild to moderate processing problems yet it evokes such a strong emotional response with this “how dare you ask me to be responsible for my verbal attacks on people , I have a child with Autism” response from many of the parents. I find that offensive. I’ve been dealing with an “autism spectrum” child all my adult life and never once felt the need to cry poor me! My energies have been focused on her learning and her success in life. And I’m happy to note she’s never felt the need to ask for special treatment either other than academically! she’s a successful person doing what she can to the best of her abilities and doesn’t want your sympathy or need it! I’ve met plenty of other parents just like me but the parents who make it so combative and self pitying give the rest a bad name! I agree that Jac has a bit of a problem with this. First there was a big story about her hormones being off and then she’s exploiting her son’s challenges by selling a story about it! If she makes a million a year why did she wait so long to get him tested? She claims it’s because of insurance? Who knows whats real to fake with her but what is real is her constant see sawing between her attacking and lashing out at people and her need for excused behavior because we need to pity her for something. I wish her son well! But just as I feared for Ashlee I feer for this child that with Jac it’s all about “poor me…look at me… Feel sorry for me… I’m so burdened”. And it’s just so harmful to her children’s ultimate success and so unappealing!
Why does it upset you so much? Interesting. Shut up? What a juvenile response. Clearly shows frustration on your part so your tough words betray you. Shut up shows a loss of control and no real original thought. And who says “Ain’t”? Obviously you are a hick and poorly educated so there is no point trying to educate you. As soon as I saw that I realised I was wasting my breath. I won’t dignify your other ill informed comments. I’ve said my piece and thankfully your views are in the minority.
I don’t understand ppl getting so worked up over a comment. I understood that you meant: that Jac would play the sympathy card and that would take the focus and onus off her whack behavior. It could have been anything….a sick parent…her house

She really is a blabber mouth, isn’t she? So different from Teresa in regards to spilling information, with questionable info at that. Funny thing is, though the rest of the Jersey crew constantly berates T for talking smack about them, their own actions reveal who the real blabbermouths are with poor Jac heading the List. All a rag mag has to do is follow Jac and be fed gossip till the cows come home! She makes it so accessible. Hope she puts the time and energy into her son’s needs that she puts into social media. I wish her success in that regard, and peace and hope and strength.

She’s not making half a million from RHONJ show pay. Not even close. Where are all these appearances she is invited to? I haven’t seen her at anything except BLK water stuff in ages. The housewife “appearances” have all but dried up in the last few years once the novelty wore off. It’s gotta be her super secret job she has “besides the show.” You know the one she is able to make a million at while on twitter all day.

well I wouldnt be surprised of Jac makes close to a half mill a year to be on the show … then there are appearance fees, and some of the spokesman stuff.. but I doubt that makes another half million…
I like Jaq (I like them all).. but like Leanne, she needs to step away from the twitter.. Same with Aviva Drescher… You cant change peoples minds by Dming them, or engaging in a twitter war.. Is Jac telling us that she is hiding money from Bravo? I thought every thing had to go through Bravo.
I heard the reason that Dina is not talking to Jac and Caro is that Jac got made at Dina about something as went to Lynn Hudson with a story that Dina’s Project Lady Bug Foundation was not legit. It caused Dina a lot of problem just as she was getting it up and running. Caro back Dina so that was the start of their problems. Jac did tell all of us on the show and in one of her blogs that she can be vicious when mad.
Jac needs to put down the bottle, stop the botox and plastic surgeries, get off twitter, quit telling (selling) stories to US Weekly and Tom Marro with Radar Online.
So in this economy a high class brand is paying Jac a million dollars to endorse their product by not mentioning the product.? I bet the marketing expert who came up with that deal is in great demand. I am sure Andy Cohen will be verklempt when he reads that Jac thinks his show/network is too low class to mention said products. That tweet should really help Jac when negotiations for her contract for next season comes up. Though if Jac’s tweet is true, I can only assume she is a spokesperson for some pharmaceutical company. Maybe she is so strung out on some drug she can’t remember she is the spokesperson.
If anything the “diagnosis” has given her a get out of jail free card.
How do you figure that? She has a child with Autism and that is hardly a get out of jail free card. I would know as I have a child with Autism too. What a horrible thing to say. If anything it makes you more determined to make a living because you have more medical costs to cover. Good on her if she is using her success to make money. Parents with Autistic children don’t want pity, they want understanding and acceptance. To imply she will use it to her advantage is disgraceful. Perhaps you need to walk in her shoes before you criticise.

If Jac is anything like what she comes across of on an hour edited show or w/ her tweets, then her responding with this seems more of a smart a$$/sarcastic response with some truth behind it. Jac has a sense of humor and I’m sure she has some product(s) already out there or in the making but if never mentioned then let it be… if it does make millions well good for her/them. I do understand why she would say “cheapening” the product would be bad. Seriously besides SkinnyGirl Bethany which other housewife has had much success from being on housewives w/ their own brand? Yes some have had success in other aspects of their careers (given they had one prior to the show).
Endorsements come with contracts so she does tweet about that acne line and includes it on her site. BLK is “cheapened” because we saw it start from the show. I’m sure if we had not seen it there we would have been after it just as we were when we first saw Gatorade, Vitamin Water, etc. But because we saw it build its success from RHONJ I’m sure the public will point it out to and “ha! the water from those boys on that housewife show” and skip it. Unless if they’re fans and fans of course of the Manzos (Caroline is hard cookie to swallow but yet I like her).
Hell what do I know I’m just a grad finding myself and trying to make a name by working hard within my employer fighting for a yearly raise.
Hope you get paid millions to tweet and if she makes millions with other products – may it last a lifetime. Jac was def not a silver spoon fed baby so whatever she has I’m sure both her and that cute husband of hers have worked hard for it.

Why wouldn’t Jac put her “products” on the show, if she wants to make money? If she brings in a “million dollars”, she’d probably bring in twice that amount if it was included on RHONJ, right? Uh…no. NO ONE WANTS TO DRINK INK. if anything, they will sell a few bottle as a novelty. This horrid crap will NEVER have a foothold in the maket, let alone be mentioned in the same sentence as Gatorade. Who the HELL convinced them it was a good idea to put your money behind something that looks like an oil spill? I bought a small bottle a month or do ago thinking, don’t knock it… It sits in the exact spot. I asked my husband if he wanted to try it the other night as we were it sitting down to eat. He looked horrified and said. “Not with dinner!”. Exactly. There is always something more appealing o drink even if it’s tap water. Talk about the Emperor’s new clothes.

Fulvic acid actually comes from decomposed human and animal waste!! Think about that and then tell me why it sits on a shelf? They talk about its health benefits which have all been debunked by the FDA saying it poses no serious threat but also when tested is not shown to have any of the healthy properties that are claimed…but causes diareah, stomach cramps and leaves a gritty metallic taste in your mouth… Yummy!
What’s interesting is how Jac makes such stupid statements on twitter! First she endorses products.. Then insults those products by calling them cheapened! Then she gives the IRS ammo to go after her for ” secret income”. Remember The Lauritas have also filed bankruptcy… And we all know they are currently under incitement for fraud and embezzlement of more than 3 million in corporate holdings fom their first company.. allegedly used to finance their extravagant lifestyle and BLK , which they’re also being sued for stealing from its rightful owners Blackwater, which originally contracted with them for promotional services only! Jac is really not a very bright woman!

To my knowledge the only bankruptcy filed by the Lauritas is for Chris’ old business, Signature Apparel. But yes, there are several suits still open against that company despite being out of business.
