Just when I though Nene’s notoriety could not surprise me any more, it does. Guess who was written up in….wait for it……The Wall Street Journal! I am not kidding. This video is a conversation between two Wall Street Journal journalists discussing Nene Leakes unprecedented leap from reality shows to mainstream TV. Sure they equate it to a porn star breaking into mainstream cinema, and yeah, they mention that she only plays herself and is sort of a one-note Betty, but the goddamn Wall Street Journal is talking about Nene Leakes! I fear the whole doomsday end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it prediction for this December is probably actually going to happen now. I need to book a fancy vacation between now and then.

She was paid scale for her role in Glee, and most likely the same for The New Normal. The SAG pay scale was designed for people breaking into acting, like Nene. I know y’all love her to death and think she should be paid more that Meryl Streep and Streisand put together, but it just doesn’t work that way. Nene is more than thrilled to have two small roles on sucessful shows. She’s working for the exposure and the experience and very lucky to have landed the parts.
The paycheck is irrelevant to the income potential these jobs provide.

Yes the advisors have ruined her. Nene was everyone’s favorite Housewife on Season 1, she was sassy, a little bitchy, not afraid of confrontation… yet she was fun. She seemed like someone you would like to hang out with, and she seemed down to earth. She was hilarious.
But she showed her true colors during Season 4. Yelling out she is “rich” yet she rents her home, had missing teeth (got that taken care of after Sheree called her out), and she wears the same wardrobe over and over. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but she should stop yelling out she is rich and pretending to be the Queen of fashion when she recycles the same outfits all the fucking time.
Not to mention she showed up to Peter’s launch of the pathetic Bar 1, LATE when she was supposed to be the host. Never filmed with the rest of the cast. When she did film with them, she would storm out of the events early complaining because it wasn’t centered around HERSELF.
Not to mention she insulted fans of the show by calling them “twitter people” and acted like she is above them. This is the same bitch who stripped for a living, before Gregg saved her ass. Yet she wants to act like she is better than people on twitter. The people who helped her get where she is today.
She tells Kim to close her legs to married men, yet Nene was married and fucking both Gregg and that fat rich dude at the same time. Very classy.
She is so hypocritical and self centered. Yet she gets an over all good edit, because it is obvious that Andy Cohen favors her.
She acted like such an ass during the reunion, basically wanting Kim and Sheree to kiss her ass for getting them on the show. That was so self centered. Yet we all know that Nene USED THEM to get on the show. She knew that women married or were married to ballers would be a good pitch, and she used them (Sheree and DeShawn) to bolster herself, because she didn’t have money or connections like the two of them.
She even said on episode one that she was around a lot of rich women that “have gone and left her chile.”

She has lost so many fans, and if she keeps this stuck up shit going for Season 5 I expect her to go down hill. Because Glee isn’t going to be on TV much longer, and the only reason Nene is so popular is because of Housewives. When that is over, she will be over.
Season 2 NeNe was the realest. She lost that with the fame. I am proud of her, but she’s too fake now.
