The first media reports hinting at an All-Stars season of Celebrity Apprentice began in early July. Many names were floated around including past winners Bret Michaels, Trace Atkins, Joan Rivers, Pierce Morgan and interesting characters like Meatloaf, Omarosa, Gene Simmons, Sharon Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, and Dennis Rodman. Apparently, with offers now going out and filming time fast approaching Ms. Leakes wanted to put it out there that she wasn’t interested.
According to TVGuide.com, Nene Leakes has turned down an offer to be on Celebrity Apprentice All Stars. In a statement to William Keck, Nene explained why she was not up for another season,
It was hard as hell — a grueling-ass schedule. You work every single day except for Sunday from sunup to sundown. You’re locked into a war room and you have to give up your cell phone, your iPad, your laptop, everything. It’s a tough show. I can’t do it again!
Nene certainly does have a full calendar at the moment with three TV shows filming at once; however, Trump hates a quitter. I have my doubts that even with Nene’s fifteen minutes extending to an hour that Trump would invite Nene back. She broke under the pressure once. I figure Trump would want fill any position that Nene is up for with Omarosa. Unfortunately, depending on when filming starts, Omarosa will likely be unavailable. Omarosa’s man, Michael Clarke Duncan, was out of intensive care yet still in the hospital after a very serious heart attack in July. Omarosa has not left his side. So I guess the sassy black woman role will be filled by Star Jones. I haven’t heard of her being terribly busy lately and Trump loves her. Celebrity Apprentice Allstars is expected to air in February.
What do y’all think? Did Trump even ask Nene or is Nene getting it out there before the offers come out to save face?
I think if he didn’t, he would have come out with a statement saying so. He has no problem calling people out via the media.
I am not a NeNe fan, but her description of the show definitely sounds like it was hard. I don’t blame her for not going back. College was very much like that for me: competitive, no sleep, always working, etc. I hated that and I have avoided all environments like that ever since. I love Donald and I know he hates a quitter, but I’d have to tell him, “I’ll pass”. I can’t stand Star Jones, but would love to see her back on the show. She was excellent!
I don’t believe she was asked back either. Planting a story like this about herself is typical of something she would do in an attempt to save herself from embarrassment. Considering that shortly before she was fired they had to call security on her, I’ll bet everyone who IS coming back is pretty relieved.
She is not the one who planted it. It came up like they said because Eric Trump posed the question on his twitter and then a journalist asked her about it. Don’t see where Donald stepped forward to ask her but it all got started because of what the son did on his twitter…Now the people on twitter prob said hells no to Nene and that is why she tried to say no knowing she was not going to be asked.
Of course he would. Not because she was a great player he loves Drama and ratings. For all the things negative he said about omarossa and how much of a drama queen she was he went on to offer her things on the side he was the one who helped her with the dating show she had. Like the other post said Eric Trump posed the question on his twitter. What he said about her quitting was for the moment for good tv like he always does. he would love to have nene and omarossa and anyone else who may have been difficult on or off the show just to annoy other players and keep up the drama his reality show is not immune from the decided formula for success. drama drama and more drama and what better than “celebrity drama”
Oh Lawd, Nene & Omarossa!? I would be glued to my tv to witness that. Omarossa CAN be ruthless. She’s also extremely well educated and can eloquently deliver her razor sharp barbs that always find their way home…ask Wendy Williams. Nene does not have the mental fortitude to handle Omarossa and would be embarrassed on national tv. And unlike Star Jones or Latoya Jackson, you can’t loud talk or call Omarossa names and think you’re going to get away with it. Omarossa would shut her down and thoroughly humiliate her. Nene’s best bet is to keep doing what she’s doing and stay away from anything that requires true talent or skill, acting like herself in all her roles is not a great feat. On second thought please Nene, please if they ask, please say yes but only if Omarossa is able to participate.
Lol! I was thinking all the same exact things. Very well said. Love your last sentence. I too think Omarosa would clobber NeNe. Omarosa she has a mouth on her and it is an educated mouth. She can outsmart NeNe. NeNe is only good in her own environment, not anywhere else. She always has to bring a sidekick with her as backup (brought her friend to Kim’s friends house in Miami, brought Marlo with her to Africa, etc.) when she wants to start some mess, cause she is good at starting mess but not finishing it, which is why she always has to bring backup. Omarosa knows how to start mess and finish it cause she aint no punk. And I don’t even like Omarosa!
I saw the Wendy interview and Omarossa looked ridiculous trying to call Wendy out on surgeries she already admitted to because Wendy questioned her about hers. She kept trying to over talk Wendy and let her ghetto ways come out and then like she always does she just make something up and keep repeating it. Then when Wendy was trying to be professional and promote the book she came on there for she looked childish trying to snatch it back. ( A little back ground Wendy let her have it on the radio and Omarosa came on in an attempt to get her back but failed) Not realizing Wendy was playing nice for the sneak peak trying to get the show picked up. She always likes to proclaim how she made it from the projects to Capital Hill but before during and after apprentice other co workers said she was the same as she was on apprentice lazy and drama prone. She is a true example that having a degree does not necessarily make you smart. She was not smart enough to stretch her 15 minutes out beyond reality shows…and she did try. Most people did not even know she had a dating show. Unless you watch centric or whatever extra bet channel it was on. (And she had Donald Trump backing her) Her style is to make things up and keep harping on them she is a punk and a cry baby. She claimed to have concussion on apprentice after dried peeled paint fell on her head. Made a big deal about Janice holding knife over her head for vh1 promo shot…and the list goes on and if she was not with Michael Clarke Duncan no one would talk about her.
Now you know that Miss Star Jones has all those lunches with Barbara Walters to attend.

The title of the TV Guide article says, “NeNe Leakes Says No Thanks to Donald Trump” but nowhere in the articles does it say that Trump actually asked her. I got the impression that someone asked her a question and what we’re reading is her response. The article really doesn’t go into any detail.
Actually they would ask her back because like a week ago Eric Trump which is Donald Trump son asked his followers on twitter who they wanted back & he included NeNe name amongst the main people fans wanted back!
