Tonight’s episode of Glee has Nene Leakes back on the small screen. It’s also the first of a three episode arc for Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi and Nene were on set at the same time because they do not share any scenes. Whoopi is playing the dean of the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts where Rachel and Kurt get their long-awaited audition. The name of the episode is Choke so we can assume at least one of the two auditions doesn’t go well. Or maybe it just refers to the requisite deep and meaningful storyline that Coach Beiste has tonight (looks like she’s going to be a victim of domestic violence.) Much as I hate the preachy storylines, I’ll take Dot Marie however I can get her. Sue Sylvester calls Nene lots of names (including “Black Sue” which is what pretty much everyone calls her anyway) and I am of course tickled by that. Puck sings Alice Cooper’s Schools Out, a song I love so I am hoping it isn’t as disappointing as that time Mercedes sang Sweet Transvestite.
