The neighbors on Mercer Street where the girls are living in an old firehouse are worried about the throngs of gawkers that are already showing up. One neighbor, Karen Victor told NJ.com she doesn’t want hundreds of people gathering to catch a glimpse of the reality stars, stopping her from getting to work on time. I don’t think Karen has ever seen the show. The girls will be in bed nursing hangovers during rush hour. In both directions. Getting to work won’t be a problem, Karen. Motorist should be worried though because Snooki is driving a pimped out black Cadillac Escalade truck with garish pink trim and rims, yes, I said pink rims. She’s definitely not trying to keep a low profile. The girls looked sober and happy to be filming. Let’s see how long things stay on an even keel. Bets?
Snooki and JWoww have arrived in Jersey City to begin filming their new reality show, Snooki and JWoww Versus the World. The world had been winning the battle in previous weeks with the mayor of Hoboken denying them a filming permit citing “safety concerns.” The mayor of Newark has also asked the girls not to show up there citing an already overwhelmed emergency response system. The mayor of Jersey City had no such qualms and frankly just wants someone to pay attention to Jersey City. I’ve never been to New Jersery, or Jersey City, but I doubt it was previously a tourist attraction so I suppose this falls into the whole any press is good press category. Filming began yesterday afternoon and today is the first full day in their six weeks of filming. Police are on standby. Not even kidding, police officers will be present at the filmings so we can probably expect Snooki to tour the county jail at some point.
