I don’t know how to respond to this other than to say Phaedra Parks now has an Atlanta King to rub elbows with. For those of you unfamiliar with Eddie Long(stroke), he is a cult leader pastor of a mega church in Atlanta. He made national headlines after several men who were members of his congregation during their youth accused him of sexual misconduct. The was a coverup settlement between Long and the men of an undisclosed amount. Long’s wife finally filed for divorce in December of last year despite pressure from the church to rescind the divorce petition. The elders of the church are suspected of issuing a press statement stating that Vanessa Long was not going to go forward with the divorce; however, the divorce remains pending. Eddie Long stepped down from the pulpit for a few weeks to “heal his family” but I suspect that he was just taking more pictures of himself in the bathroom mirror.
As for the above video, it seems his congregation as forgotten all about Long’s vacation in Africa with under-aged boys and is back to slugging the Kool-aid. Once they stop walking around with Long raised on his new throne (I am not kidding) and start singing about preparing the way for the Lord, there is no need to watch any further. The creepy factor of this video, where a Jewish Rabbi wraps Long in a Torah Scroll (again not kidding) and then proclaims him King of…??? Atlanta? New Birth Church? Ghana? is off the charts. I didn’t even know Rabbi’s could proclaim people to be Kings!

Phaedra Parks has found a king and lost her mind. This just proves it. How did she pass the law board? Back up. How did she pass law school? Where did she go? What is wrong with that woman

I saw this on another blog I read often and was so mad that I didn't watch the video. I am so happy that in 2012 there are people here who feel the same way I do. He paid his victims in private instead of "fighting" it in court as he initially proclaimed. That was an immediate admission of guilt. Crowning a man king inside the house of the Lord is highly disrespectful. The saddest thing is that these people cannot claim to be manipulated and by staying they consent to his behavior. What also made me angry is that T.D. Jakes had also released a statement stating that people should leave him alone. That is impossible when he continues to do stupid.
As soon as we begin judging man by his actions rather than his words alone, we will begin true healing of our families. Worship the KING of kings and the LORD of lords, amen.
While I think this guy should rot in hell, anyone who continues to attend that church as long as he's in the pulpit should accompany him there. What is WRONG with people??WD

I saw this on today's news and thought it has to be one of the sickest things ever. I don't know what magic powers Longstroke has but I don't want any part of it. Between the bad wigs, bathroom photo shoots, and illegal relationships with boys, Eddie Longstroke is pure crap.
Unbelievable! I can't imagine what was going through the minds of his congregation; either awestruck or disgusted. I probably would have walked out in disgust. I was weirded out by an incident at New Birth here in Pittsburg, CA (they are affiliated with the Atlanta church). the senior pastor was away one Sunday and another pastor was given the sermon. Well, right in the middle of his sermon all you could hear was static and the monitors started flickering. Next thing I knew there was the Senior Pastor on the monitor in a Nehru jacket with the New Birth logo prominently displayed behind his head and I mean the whole congregation stood up and started whooping and hollering and acting like Jesus himself had appeared. This was right in the middle of the poor stand in pastor's delivering the Word of God! The whole scenario was cheesy and disruptive and the congregations reaction was over the top. I thought, couldn't they have staged this during the announcement? Needless to say, I cool on New Birth:)
I am speechless! There are really no words other than this is an example of all that is so wrong with this world. A king indeed, more like a monster and fraud.
I cackled out loud after I read your title…Eddie Long is a disgrace. He molested children and has the audacity to stand before god's people and expect and welcome acceptance. He is sick and needs to be locked away. Who will be his next victim?
